10 weeks before Christmas - the Katzelkraft Challenge

For the 4th year running I am entering the Katzelkraft 10 semaines avant Noël challenge (10 weeks before Christmas). Each week we are given 3 cards to make plus this year there will be a 'Special K'. We can make 3 cards or all 4 or substitute the Special K for 1 of the 3 cards like a joker. What I like about this challenge is that there is no pressure to complete in order, they don't have to be Christmas cards and you can dip in and out as you wish - you don't even have to use Katzelkraft stamps although it is appreciated if you do. At the end of the 10 weeks I have a varied selection of cards and I have learned a few new French words (plus my wishlist of KTZ stamps has grown).
This week's recipes are:

1 Use corrugated card.
2 Make an express card using 1 piece of paper, 1 stamp and 1 sentiment.
3 Make a card with some embossing.
Special K - Make a round card with stamping in the background drawing inspiration from this card by Karola Witczak

Happily I had some corrugated packaging on my desk (I knew it would come in handy one day) so I started with the first card. I carefully ripped off the top layer of paper to reveal the corrugated part. I bought this Peace movers & shapers die in the Sizzix sale this summer and decide to see if it would work with the card - it cut it well. The outer oval is a nestie die which conveniently matches the peace oval. It also worked well with the thick card. I added some pearls to a zigzag die cut and mounted it all on cream hammered card. The bird is a KTZ stamp, painted with Twinkling H2O in solar gold

  1. Fabulous card and use of the corrugated card using the die-cut. I will be popping in to see how the challenge progresses, thoroughly enjoyed seeing what you made last year.
