This is my second entry into the Craft Barn weekly challenge . While I had my Brushos out I started to make another background but managed to use too much paint and too much water. The colours started to look muddy so I grabbed another piece of card and spread it over the top. The top card picked up bits of colour so I continued to smoosh blank sections of card onto the original piece until I was happy with the coverage on the second card (am I making sense?). I liked the new background and wanted to make a very quick card with it so I used an old favourite Katzelkraft stamp with black Versafine ink. I highlighted some of the stamped areas with a white pen and mounted it onto a pale blue card blank.
Great background - that is what I like about Brushos you can recover something by mopping up excess paint and getting a different look.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful image by Katzelkraft and this simple Brushos background is enough to make it into a gorgeous card.
ReplyDeleteI had a Brushos background that was too dark and I used a stencil with texture paste over it and it looked so much better afterwards I didn't bin it!
Ooh maybe I can give that a try with the original piece!
DeleteFab card Rukhshana, your background turned out great eventually !
ReplyDeleteFabulous, I love the background! xxx
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely entry and so different from the other!
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining in the Challenge.

Another fabulous background. I must remember to keep a spare piece of card handy in future rather than mopping excess water up with a paper towel.
