This fortnight's words for the Craft Barn challenge are Proud and Vintage. I decide to use a quote and the word vintage. The quote is by a musician and record producer called Tony Visconti (who was married to Mary Hopkins for a while). It reads 'it is easily overlooked that what is now called vintage was once brand new'. Although unintentional my page ended up being a sort of homage to Tim Holtz's products. The label die is the only non-TH item I've used.
I look forward to seeing the other entries this fortnight.
Fab composition, where all the elements just work together.
ReplyDeletegreat quote and great vintage car.
ReplyDeleteFabulous tag! Love the sunray behind the car and the quote is wonderful! xx
ReplyDeleteExcellent work, the colours are yummy. Thank you for the lovely comment on my 'Twofer', page. I fancied this quote but vintage didn't work with coral & teal, lol (well in my limited world, anyway) :D
ReplyDeleteFab piece !!
ReplyDelete"Those were the days my friend" sorry but it just popped into my head when I saw her name lol. Great page and great "vintage" quote too,( I obviously did'nt look hard enough)
ReplyDeleteLove the composition and a great quote. So true, I keep telling everyone that I may look vintage but I was brand new once :) x
ReplyDeleteI actually laughed when I saw the quote. I remember someone saying they had an old rusty car sitting in their pasture and someone offered them more money for it than they originally paid. That quote made me think of that. And of course, I loved the license plate, too. Great entry.
ReplyDeleteA great quote and a gorgeous piece of art.
ReplyDeleteGreat layout, love the sunray and such a true quote:)
ReplyDeleteVal x
One of the rare quotes not about fashion ! Lovely TH inspired page, love the sunburst (stencil, probably).
ReplyDeleteYes indeed it's a TH stencil as is the 'road'.
DeleteThe quote made me laugh, and your piece made me smile. My previous boss liked old cars--he would have loved this one!
ReplyDeleteLovely , lovely - great quote - I suppose I can call myself vintage then ;-)
ReplyDeleteYummy great colours and quote! Thank you for dropping by earlier. Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteLovely page, the quote is great and so true :)
ReplyDeleteGreat page! I hadn't seen yours when I picked the same quote! Funnily enough I was going to use my vintage car stamp too but then went for the scales! xx
