Dictionary Challenge - L
A late entry for this fortnight's dictionary challenge on the Craft Barn blog where the letter is L. I chose letter as my word and went for a neutral colour scheme with some pops of red. The background is some patterned paper that I've had for years. I added some postmark stamps and folded a small envelope from patterned paper for the definition to come out of. some puffy, polka dot letters finished off the page.

I like your clever take on this letter (no pun intended). Your use of letter in art and definition were superb. I like how the bright red dotted letters stand out against the more neutral background. Nice composition.
ReplyDeleteExcellent illustration of the word! I wonder if your letters actually spell a secret word or if they are the pesky ones, left from a previous project and that can never form another word...
ReplyDeleteThey are from a set bought some time ago from Poundland. It has upper and lower case letters in 3 different shades from red to pink. These are all the red lower case letters (the upper case letters were too large).
DeleteCraftyfield has made me see that I missed an opportunity to use up some unusable leftover letters! A wonderful page you've created. And how clever to use letter for your letter L word. Great letter background paper. Adding the postmarks is such a clever idea.
ReplyDeleteI was trying to make a word from your letters too! Then I read your text again - aahhh! Great word. :D
ReplyDeleteWow, beautiful page, love how the letters pop out on the background!! Thank you for joining in The Craft Barn Challenge!
