This fortnight's letter for the Dictionary Challenge on the Craft Barn blog is F. The added twist is that there has to be a heart somewhere on the page. Flicking through the dictionary the word feline caught my eye so I went along with it. I had fun with this page which unusually for me has no stamping on it at all. My background is sponged blue acrylic paint and gathered twigs DI. I used the following dies:
Cat - Cottage Cutz
Grass - Clearly Besotted
Fence - Sizzix Originals
Trees - X Cut
Hearts - Mama Elephant
I added the hearts to the fence because it reminded me of the little picket fences you see sometimes with cut out heart shapes.
Thanks for all your kind comments last week I look forward to seeing your entries this week.
Love your theme !!
ReplyDeleteFab page, I love the cat :)
ReplyDeleteCute feline. Love your scene. Hugz
ReplyDeleteHi - what a lovely page. I love the hearts across the fence. Best wishes, Anne O
ReplyDeleteA super piece, just love that cat with his fur all stuck out - who is he/she cross with??? I sometimes think we forget we don't have to use a stamp for every piece of art :)
ReplyDeleteI love me a little fraidy cat! Kitty has a great background. Great trees, love the fence with hearts and the great grass. The colors are perfect.
ReplyDeleteFabulous, love your cat. I've had the wrong letter in my mind in created a page for the letter "K".... So I've to make a new one ;)
ReplyDeleteOh dear! Hopefully you can keep it to use when we reach the letter K.
DeleteI'll be doing a new "K" page then ;) "F" is ready, too.
DeleteI simply adore this fraidy feline, and laughed because I KNEW you and a few others would be stamping, which is why I put no stamps were harmed on mine. For you to NOT use stamps must have taken a lot of courage (grin). The dies you used made this fantastic. What wonderful art and what a great way to use that heart twist. I was truly impressed.
ReplyDeleteLOL I noticed when I commented on your page. It was only when I was blogging it that I realised that I had not used any stamps! Thanks for your kind comments.
DeleteGreat page, lovely scene and great cat! I love the grass die too, very tempted to look for it! xx
ReplyDeleteLove the cat! Great page.
ReplyDeleteFab page - love where you put the hearts!
ReplyDeleteLoving your cat - he looks like he doesn't want to be photoed!! Great place for the hearts too!
ReplyDeleteThe cat looks a bit scary but the grass... love the die-cut shape and the variegated colours of the paper make it so realistic! Beautiful page.
ReplyDeleteIt's a combination of Impress inks - chartreuse, spring green and emerald.
DeleteThat is a lovely feline panel, good choice of word. The cat is quirky and spikey, I like him.
ReplyDeleteA very grouchy looking feline! I love where you put the hearts, clever idea x

Love the way you have included hearts and your die-cut scene. Don't think I would want to live with that cat though!
